I love what you’ve put together here. You’ve done an excellent job getting everything together and making it simple to navigate. Huge thanks for the scans of the KBC magazines. I’m looking forward to reading those.

  2. Alan says:

Great Site and so good to see the early KBC magazines, although a fan of Kates from dayone I didnt join the fan club until 1981, so I missed the first 10 0r so issues.

Thank you ever so much for creating the Kate Bush Archives ~ it really is a wonderful site! It’s great to find the KBC Mags in their entirety, and to listen to the radio interviews, and to have a comprehensive Video and Demo list, etc. etc. And the Link list is great too! Cheers! ;)

  4. Paul Kenefick says:

Brilliant! Thank you so much for getting the time together in order to complete this work.

  5. Michael says:

This site is a godsend. You have pieced together so many important Kate songs, interviews, photos, etc. It has become one of my absolute favorite Kate sites on the entire web, and in such a short time as well! Thank you for all of your care and thoughtfulness in putting this site together. So well done!

  6. Justin Campbell says:

This is a fantastic site- great work!!! It will keep me going while I wait for the remastered studio albums! Thanks

  7. Jake says:

Wonderful site – really like how you’ve put it all together.

  8. Davey says:

Wow! So fab to find this. After all these years I still have most of my old club magazines and it brings back so many teenage memories to see my name in no.8 on the second to last page. Still hanging in there just, and still a mahoosive fan of course!

  9. Tom Phelps says:

Wow, this is a wonderful site. I especially appreciate the KBC newsletters and the radio shows.

Elsewhere I have seen the Set Books interview dated March 19, 1978.

This seems to be a broken link:
    http://kbarchives.org/mp3/Kate_Bush-The_Sensual_World_Interview_(Roger_Scot_Radio_1).mp3

Is that Tour of Life show really from Liverpool? gaffa.org compiled a list of all known recordings (see http://gaffa.org/archives/1993-19/msg00096.html) and it’s not one of them. How has it remained secret for 30 years?

    • admin says:

Hi. Set books date and Sensual World link fixed.

Regarding the Liverpool concert, I’ve had this boot for a few years now, and that’s how it was tagged. There’s no way to confirm it’s from Liverpool, but guess we just have to assume so.

      • Colin says:

There’s definitely a bootleg of the Liverpool concert. At the very end Kate talks about it being her first gig and mentions Liverpool.

  10. Lisa Campbell says:

Loving looking through all KBC newsletters, lovely pictures & some great drawings by fans.

  11. Dirk says:

Greetings and many thanks for all this informations about KT from Hamburg, Germany!
So sad to learn that you´ll close this magnificent site.
    You did a great job!

    “It wouldn’t take me long
To tell you how to find it.”

  12. Alan says:

I hope the site stays, I think it is fabulous, one of the very best on Kate. You have created something very special here, somewhere that fans can spend hours on.

  13. samphire hoe says:

    Love,

  17. Barbara says:

I’m looking at the transcription of the Personal Call interview and I’m guessing that the caller from ‘Rochstail’ is actually from Rochdale!

Were you mixing this up with ‘Rocket’s Tail’ at all?

  18. Barbara says:

The Danny Baker interview from 1979 makes me so annoyed still, 32 years after the event. When he was quoted in the Graeme Thomson book as saying she didn’t write about ‘things that matter’, I felt like answering, ‘you what – like the Daz Doorstep Challenge and Pets Win Prizes?’

I know I mustn’t speak ill of the afflicted but I do have my suspicions that what he’s going through now is the bad vibes sent from thousands of angry KB fans!

  19. Mark Densley says:

    Hiiiii Izzy…!!!

What a cool website…!!! Let me know how I can help..!!!

  23. Thomas says:

Hello, I’m looking for a scan of The The’s article in the December 1989 International Musician And Recording World with Kate on the cover. If you have this issue, I’d be glad to pay your for scans.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

  24. Cormac says:

Hello, I am looking for the Lionheart – Interview And Album Tracks (Rare Canadian promo-only cassette) on MP3, can anyone help? Thanks.

  25. Brion says:

This is really a grand site ~ I’ve only just discovered! Thank you very much. Last summer I did a movie/video to Kate’s incredible song “Nocturn” from Aerial. If you so like ~ it would be wonderful if you could include the link on this site. Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CUYqrX3eSY I also edited material to Wild Man but it is only allowed in the US to watch so I don’t know if it would be worth posting that link. If you go to my YouTube page listed here – it will be there. Thank you again for such a fantastic fan-based website!

  26. Barbara says:

Yirri Yanya’s Wild Man comic strip was excellent – I felt she was protecting him.

The ‘Annapurna’ picture also reminded me of Snow White’s Wicked Queen looking into the mirror!

  27. Mymi says:

    Hey! Come back on FB!

  28. Annabel says:

hi! In the magazine edition (deLuxe) of NRC (dutch newspaper) there’s a interview from Hussein Chalayan (fashion designer) with Kate Bush and a story about her carreer. Really nice. Annabel

  29. Deanne Pearson says:

Hi, have only just discovered your website, on which you have featured my interview with Kate a very long time ago in The Face. Interesting because I remember discussing incest and a number of other far more interesting subjects than ended up appearing in print. Such is the world of ‘journalism’. You are right, Smash Hits was a rather superficial pop mag of its time, but it also outsold it’s rivals by a long shot, which perhaps suggests that’s the kind of mag people wanted at the time. Look at what’s around now in the wonderful world of pop/celebrity journalism and I’d say still do. It’s only pop music, after all. I thought Kate was great and fascinating and so much more than a pop star. I had one of the best conversations I have ever had with anyone in the
‘pop’ world that night. Wish I could have shared it in its entirety.

    • Deanne Pearson says:

      Smash hits. Whatever.

    • isabelle says:

Hi and thanks for your message, Deanne!

I understand they left only what they thought would ‘sell’. I know Kate usually has a lot of interesting things to say but the journalists/interviewers choose to ask the same boring questions so it’s not always easy to find interviews interesting for the fans (which would give more insight into her work and life). Yours was great and Kate seemed to be very open and relaxed. So thanks for doing it :) I think she’s an absolute genius. Meeting her must be an unforgettable experience. You are blessed.
